A new layout and a recipe!

Hey everyone! I thought I’d share with you my latest layout that I finished yesterday for the Digi Dare (now at a new site!) from this past week. It includes a recipe which I have written out for you under the layout. I’ll re-share the recipe once I get it scrapped onto my usual 4×6 size recipe card. Here it is:

HolidayHotCocoaFloat

Layout Credits:

  • Jingle Baby by Kristin Cronin-Barrow and Megan Mullins;
  • Photo prongs from Shabby Princess’ Seasonal Sampler – Holiday;
  • Stitching from Karen Lewis’ Stitch It Large Wavy Borders;
  • Melissa Bennett’s Oh My Mat;
  • Recipe card from Daisie Company Sample/Gift.

Recipe:

Hot Chocolate Float

  • 6 oz of your fave chocolate
  • 1/4 cup + 3 Tbsp hot water
  • 3 cups hot milk
  • sugar to taste
  • several scoops of your fave ice cream

Melt chocolate with 1/4 cup hot water in a double boiler (or use a heat safe bowl over a pot of lightly boiling water), then stir in remaining 3 Tbsp hot water and milk until creamy. Add sugar to taste. Pour into mugs, and add a small scoop of your favourite ice cream. Serve with a spoon and enjoy!
