Some Recent Card making

Hi there my wonderful crafty friends! Today I thought I’d share some of cards that I’ve recently made, along with another little thing I’ve made for keeping them all organized and pretty.

First up we have some cards that I made at the very first scrapbooking/cardmaking crop I’ve ever been to, and guess what? I was the organizer/hostess too…. lol. No one around here was organizing anything so I went ahead and booked a room at the local Military Family Resource Centre, since it’s free to military members and their family. Though only 2 people showed up to craft with me, I still had a blast, learned about some products I didn’t know I needed (lol) and got some cards done! Here are the cards I did, it’s a group photo (of the cards) that I took before the end of the crop.

  • Top Left: Wish Big birthday card, created using Eat Cake graphics from PaperCrafts, and a large crystal brad.
  • Top Middle: Now & Forever wedding card, created using Now And Forever graphics by Marie Cole from PC Crafters, plus thin black w/white dots ribbon.
  • Top Right: Across The Miles card, created using papers from Zoe Pearn’s Winter Wishes kit, Build Your Own Fancy Labels by Zoe Pearn, ribbon and rubons.
  • Bottom Left: Pink Birthday card, created using Shabby Princess’ Occasions kit (glitter swirl recoloured), ribbon, flowers and large crystal brad.
  • Bottom Right: Blue Birthday card, created using Shabby Princess’ Occasions kit.

Next up we have that blue thing you see peeking out from under the cards above…. lol. That’s my Card Organizer! I altered a photo album to hold my finished (and unfinished) cards to keep them from getting dusty and damaged until I use them (or finish them).

  • Created using: blue and purple cardstock from my LSS, flowers, crystal brads and strings of crystals (w/adhesive backing) all from my LSS. The spine tag, front label, and purple and blue flowers are all created with Kristin Cronin-Barrow’s Flutter and Fly kit, then printed and cut out! I also used glue dots and mod podge.

Here’s a photo of the Birthday Calendar pages I made to go with it, they are inside the album so I can glance at it to see who’s birthday/anniversary is coming up.

  • These were also created using Kristin Cronin-Barrow’s Flutter and Fly kit (I just loooove this kit, and it’s on clearance at the Sweet Shoppe Design’s Store too! Just check the Penny Candy section!).

Well, that’s all I’m sharing with you today. Have you made any cards lately? Are you planning on making your own Christmas cards this year? I am, and would love to exchange Christmas cards with any of you that are interested!

Let me know if you’re interested in exchanging Christmas cards! We can exchange mailing addresses and mail them out during the first week of December!

Hi Monique, I just visited the friends for food blog and seen your donation, the mini album book looks interesting… we have something in common as I like to do hybrid cards too.
