It’s giveaway time!
Click on the button to find even more giveaways!
Hello and welcome to Monique’s Scrappin Blog! On Mondays I share layout inspiration with Layout Recipes (Layout created using 3+ products), on Thursdays I share a recipe on a cute little recipe card, and I try to create hybrid scrapped crafts monthly and write all about it here! I also like to giveaway the occasional crafty/scrappy stuff, and if you’ve got something you’d like me to review and giveaway on my blog feel free to email me at mpdesigns[at]live[dot]ca, my only requirements being that it should be for us crafty people and be open to international readers!
On to the giveaway! My readers have spoken and since every single person said that they wanted me to give away a Custom Mini Kitchen Guide, then that’s what I’m giving away! What is a Custom Mini Kitchen Guide? It’s a little kitchen helper that I’ve made that includes all kinds of little cooking charts and spice blend recipes, all in a handy size that can be hooked on a wall in your kitchen for easy access! Want more info? Check out an article I wrote about it at Blissfully Domestic! Or if you’d like to order one right now (they make great gifts!) then check out my designing services Facebook group called MP Designs – Scrapbooker for hire!
But today I am giving you a chance to win a custom made Mini Kitchen Guide in colours/theme of your choice!
- Open to everyone, international entrants welcome!
- Open to bloggers and non-bloggers (though bloggers do have a chance to receive an extra ballot)
- Winner must be prepared to give me their mailing address should they win.
- Giveaway closes Saturday (November 1) morning when I wake up (very technical huh?), at which time I’ll draw the winning name and contact the winner by email and announce it on my blog!
- There are 3 ways to earn ballots, you don’t have to do them all… but each one earns you another ballot in the draw.
- Leave me a comment below, provide an email address in the form so that I can contact you should you win. Answer this question in your comment: What colour/theme is your kitchen? No colour or theme? Then tell me what your favourite colour is, or what themes you love/collect. Example: cows, cherries, retro, Coca-Cola etc. Please only enter this way one!
- Blog about my giveaway and include a link back to this post so your readers can have a chance to win too. Then leave a second comment here leaving me a link to your blog so I can check it out!
- If you have an account with Facebook, join my group (MP Designs – Scrapbooker for hire) and leave me a comment in the Giveaway-Mini Kitchen Guide discussion so I know to add another ballot to the hat for you!
That’s it! If you love crafty inspiration, finding new recipes, and the occasional giveaway then be sure to subscribe to my blog’s feed or subscribe to receive emailed updates in the left-hand sidebar!
Layout Recipe #72 – A Year’s Difference
This week’s layout is one that I found while browsing the gallery at The Sweet Shoppe, it’s by bcnatty and is entitled A Year’s Difference! This layout caught my eye with it’s beautiful colours and icy elements. And I just love how the scrapper pointed out the differences between the two photos and her son’s experiences with a snowy Winter! Please feel free to click on the image and leave this talented scrapper some love!
Ingredients List:
- Template by Cindy Schneider SSD Cookie Decorating Freebie
- JWD Academy Elementary Solids and Merry Days 6th Day Kit by Jen Wilson
- Snowbound Kit by Britt-ish Designs
- My Ribbon Jar by Britt-ish Designs
- Doodled Word Border by Ellie Lash
What was your inspiration for the layout’s theme or design?
My inspiration for this was actually brought about by 2 challenges. One was to use this wonderful template and the other was to showcase a theme of growth or change. I chose to showcase the change that just a year brought about in my son’s opinion of the snowy winters back in my hometown in British Columbia. He absolutely hated winter the first time he experienced it. And I have to say that I was really disappointed because I fondly recall all the great times I had out in the snow when I was growing up. But the very next winter when we went back was an entirely different story…I couldn’t get him inside the house! This layout is just one of mine that shows how quickly kids change. I’m just glad that I had the pictures to scrap it.
What special techniques/actions/effects did you use if any in creating the layout?
As for special techniques, I recoloured and resized the ribbons to match the colours in the layout. I also played around with different actions on my pictures from The Pioneer Woman. I used the Fresh & Colourful and Boost actions and played around with the opacity of the different layers.
Thank you to my readers for checking out my blog today, I hope this layout has inspired you to mix and match some great products, and stretch your creativity! Please click on the layout above and leave this great scrapper some love!
Don’t forget that you can subscribe to my blog’s feed on any blog reader, this way you will never miss any of the information and inspiration brought to you on a weekly basis! And if you’d like to suggest a layout for me to showcase in my weekly Layout Recipes post, just fill out a contact form on the Contact Me page! You can suggest a layout of your own or someone else’s (I always get permission from the scrapper who created the actual layout before using it). Just make sure the layout uses 3+ different products! Thanks!
