Tasty Thursday – Forgotten Cookies w/freebie!
Hi, everyone! This is Juliana Gordon, guest blogging here for Monique. I feel privileged to fill in for her today for “Tasty Thursday”.
You might know me from around the digiscrapping community. My screen name is sometimes “esmom98″. I write a blog called The Juliana Blog, and I sell my designs at Polka Dot Potato and Digitals.
This is one of my favourite cookies ever! I’m pretty sure that you don’t have to beat it for 10 minutes, but that’s what the church cookbook said that I got it from. I have fond memories of waiting for these cookies to be done, and asking my mom to try different ingredients in the cookies. By the way, it should read “rice krispies”, not “rice!” My favourite combination was the rice krispies/chocolate chips. Yum!
Forgotten cookies have also been called “Resurrection Cookies” and have traditionally been made the night before Easter and served on Easter morning. You can read more about that here.
I used Velma Balint’s Mother’s Kitchen from KB and Friends. I also used an exclusive custom font by Darcy Baldwin of Sweet Shoppe Designs – my mom’s handwriting, which makes this recipe card extra special. The printing font is DJB ElizabethK. The title font is You are Loved by Kimberly Geswein.
If you are interested in scrapping your recipes, be sure to check out my Potato Bar at Polka Dot Potato. I have some recipe card templates available for only 99 cents!
Here’s a free recipe card for you to try out!
Here’s the link to your free gift – available through the month of August.
Have fun making the cookies!
Great recipe Juliana and thanks so much for filling in for me this week! Don’t forget that you can find more of Juliana at her own blog… The Juliana Blog!

Juliana, making a font from your mom’s handwriting and using it for one of her recipes is a brilliant idea!

I have seen these before but never tried them. I think making a font of your mom’s handwriting was a marvelous idea.
