My First Meme Tag!
Earlier this month I was tagged for the first time ever for a blog meme! But I’m only now getting around to doing it… lol, silly holidays getting in the way of my blogging! So here it is…
I was tagged by A Cup Of Joy.
Rules Once Tagged:
1) Link to the person who tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog (copy and paste 1-6).
3) Write 6 random things about yourself (see below).
4) Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5) Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6) Let the tagger (who tagged you) know when your post is up.
Random FYI:
1) I am short, as in under 5 feet tall kind of short.
2) I’m under 30 yrs old.
3) I am a self proclaimed magazine-aholic.
4) I loooove the smell of vanilla, lemons and popcorn (though not usually all together… lol).
5) I am super flighty when it comes to crafts. I’ve tried crochet, knitting, cross stitching, beading, weaving, stamping, floral arranging, sewing and more! The only thing I’ve stuck with is anything digital scrapbooking related including card making, album making, recipe scrapping and more.
6) Some of my fave authors are Laurell K Hamilton, Kim Harrison, Tate Hallaway, Janet Evanovich… know of any others that I might like?
7) I like peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. And no I didn’t first come up with this weird combo when I was pregnant. My brother Beau and I used to experiment with sandwich toppings as kids and this is one of the combos that actually tasted great… lol. I don’t know why we thought of trying that combination, but it works!
Those I tagged:
YOU!
We’re back!
Just wanted you all to know that I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth! We’re back home now, and trying to get things back to normal. On today’s to do list are…
- Buy groceries (there’s nothing left in this house but some meat in the freezer, some toaster waffles and some condiments!).
- Get all the laundry washed (I think I have about 3 loads of laundry to do, unless it multiplies between now and when I’m done with it). Then get it all put away.
- Wash the handful of cups, travel mugs and snack containers that were used on the trip home.
- Deal with the pile of mail we came home to.
- Go over the finances to see where we stand now that our trip is over.
- Make up a thank you card for my neighbour to say thanks for watching over our place and getting our mail for us.
- Go over the photos from the last 5 days and rename them. Then copy them all over to a few backup locations I like to use.
- Get my keys back from my neighbour.
- Find places for all of my DD’s new toys .
- Make a list of all the layouts and album projects I want to do now that our big family trip is over.
- Get some blog articles written up for you all! (including one with some photos of our time visiting family, one with photos from our trip back home again, and one with my overall tips for a successful family trip and a list of my favourite places that we stopped at!)
I guess I’d better get started, so far I’ve taken a shower, got laundry load number one in the washing machine and started my grocery list. I have so much more to do! See you all later!
Tasty Thursday – Garden Pizza
Today’s Tasty Thursday guest post is by Susan White of Scrappin’ Without Scraps blog. Thanks for filling in for me today Susan!
I found this recipe on the bag of a package of bean sprouts. To tell you the truth, bean sprouts aren’t something I normally buy so I’m not sure why they were in my refrigerator or why I was searching for recipes on the package. With a lots of zucchini from the garden around and a husband on a low carb diet it seemed like a good thing to try at least once.
Much to my surprise it was a big hit for dinner. One of the cool things about this recipe is that you really can’t tell it has bean sprouts and zucchini in it so for a number of years I kept the ingredients a secret so the kids wouldn’t decide they didn’t like it. They’ve only figured it out recently and were amazed it was so healthy!

I love scraping recipe cards and there’s quite a collection on my blog, Scrappin’ Without Scraps at http://www.susanwhite.typepad.com/ In fact I just had several recipe cards published in this month’s Digital Scrapbooking Magazine in an article by Angie Pedersen about family reunions!
I started digital scrapbooking about four years ago when I went to work for Triscape which makes FxFoto. I had long done photography so digital scrapbooking just made perfect sense to me. Lately I’ve been making post cards to mail to my daughters at camp and I have a post card tutorials along with lots of other tutorials on my blog. You can find tons of recipes there too.
