Layout Recipe # 56 ~ These Shoes
This week’s layout is one I found while browsing the Sweet Shoppe gallery, it’s by kissedbysunshine and is entitled These Shoes! This layout is so soft and pretty, all about a little girl and her love for her shoes. I absolutely love the picture-in-picture effect, definitely something I’m going to have to try myself! Please feel free to click on the image and leave this talented scrapper some praise!
Ingredients List:
- Pink Alpha by Foxy Designs
- What Every Girl Needs Corduroy Paper by Weeds and Wildflowers
- Sweet and Sassy Add On by Mira Designs
- Frame (recolored) from Happy Kit by Julie Makaotinsk
Fonts: CK Becky and Decker
What was your inspiration for the layout’s theme or design?
There was a challenge to take a photo of something that you find beautiful in everyday. I wanted to capture my daughter who is 15 months old and her love for her shoes. I wanted to show how she thought her shoes were beautiful and I wanted to be able to turn that one main photo into a page.
What special techniques/actions/effects did you use if any in creating the layout?
There weren’t really any special tricks that I used on this page. I rounded the corners of the little picture and I recolored the frame from black to pink by just using the paint bucket and placing it over the frame and filling it in with the pink color that I wanted.
