Tasty Thursday – Ice Cream in a bag!

How cool does that sound? Ice Cream, in a bag? This is a recipe I saw a couple days ago on Dani’s Girls’ Girl Talk blog and I had to go out and buy some half and half so that my DD and I could make some! It turned out great, it makes a very small amount, but it’s perfect for my 3 yr old. Part of the thrill is the fact that we’d made it ourselves, and she’d been able to shake it up all herself… lol. This is a great summer activity and cool treat, try it!

What was your inspiration for the layout’s theme or design?

I was inspired to make a layout of our vacation to Ilocos (at the Northern part of the Philippines) last December 2006. I wanted to document the places we have gone to, especially that that was the first time the whole family went for a vacation.

What special techniques/actions/effects did you use if any in creating the layout?

I wanted the layout to be really simple. The photo was taken by my father and I wanted to emphasize that photo of me and my sister in the layout. I minimized my use of elements to (hopefully) do just that. I also processed the photo to look kinda vintage.
