My first hybrid project!

Finally! I actually finished this last Monday but things have been a little crazy around here so I’m only now getting around to showing you the photos of it. Sorry.

So what did I make? A CD album for my DD! It’s title is Colour Your World Beautiful, and my DD helped me to take the photos that were used in each of the pages. We went around the house and found toys in the colours that we were including in our book, and took a group picture of the toys. Then I scrapped the pages, printed them on 5×7 photos at Walmart, cut and pasted them onto old CDs. Then I would have punched holes in them but since I don’t have my Crop-a-dile yet (bought one on Ebay last week, just waiting for it to arrive now!) so what did I do? Well, my amazing friend Brooke sent me a couple dozen CDs that she punched holes in for me! Isn’t that amazing? So my CDs already had holes in them, so after I glued each page onto a CD I just used a knife to cut out the hole as best I could in the photo. Then I threaded them all onto a Loose Leaf Ring and added some ribbon! And voila! My DD has her own colour book! Now she’s old enough to know her colours already, but I also wrote the words on each page so I’m hoping the book will help her to recognize the words too.

Ready to see some photos? Here they are!

I also bought some badge holders and a cute little board book by Cloud 9 that came in a cute little box, now I just need to come up with an idea for what topic I want my next hybrid mini album to be about. Any ideas?
