Layout Recipe # 42 ~ First Bath
This week’s layout was found while browsing through the gallery at the Sweet Shoppe, it’s by renee82 and is entitled First Bath! I love the soft colors and overall design of this layout. The stitching with the added buttons is a wonderful idea for a layout border, and the mix of 2 alphas looks great! This is a wonderful “firsts” layout, definitely one to cherish for years to come! Please feel free to click on the image and leave this talented scrapper some praise!
Ingredients List:
- Yesteryears: Shabby Baby Boy by Julie Billingsley
- Round alpha by Marcie Reckinger from Our Mojo Garden collab with Laura Burger
- Tied string and Heavy Duty staple by Kate Hadfield
- Date stamp and file tab by Amber Clegg
- Stitches by Two Sisters Designs
- Most drop shadows by Traci Murphy
- Font is CK journaling condensed
What was your inspiration for the layout’s theme or design?
The LO was inspired by various LO’s I’d seen and I kind of just pulled everything together to make it my own.
What special techniques/actions/effects did you use if any in creating the layout?
I didn’t use any special techniques, but I did use some drop shadow actions to add realism to my LO. I chose a simple design to highlight the photos to help record this first very important experience in my baby’s life.
