This and that, and some layouts!

Hi everyone! I haven’t done much in terms of personal blog posts lately so I thought I’d sit down and tell you a bit about what’s been going on on the home front. Then I’ll show you a few layouts I’ve done recently, click on them to check out the credit info… I’ll add the linked up previews of the products I used later on today, right now I need to make this short so we can get out of here and get some errands done!

So first, we had the flu. Hubby had it first and the worst, and we didn’t think we (my DD and I) were going to get it as we weren’t showing any symptoms until about a week after hubby had had it. But then we got hit with it too. At least my DD and I didn’t get it too bad, it was just very energy draining.

Then we had about a week of feeling good and healthy again before getting hit with a stuffy, sneezy, runny nose cold! And that’s where DD and I are at now, the tail end of that.

As for weather, it’s been pretty nice here. Warm enough to melt some of the snow around here, but cool enough that it’s melting slowly so hopefully there won’t be too much flooding this year. The parking lot next to our row house (it’s where we have to park our cars, and there are sheds at one end where there isn’t usually many cars so it’s perfect for kids to ride their bikes without being on the road) is nice and clear of snow and ice so a couple days ago I was able to take my DD out on her new bike so she could start to learn to ride. She had a blast! At first she got mad because she wasn’t riding perfectly right away, lol… but that’s her. She’s really tested my patience with her perfectionist personality. I really have to be strong and patient to get her to sit down and try to do things over and over till she gets it. It’s especially hard when all her and I both want to do is to throw whatever it is we’re doing… lol. But by the time hubby got home from work an hour after we’d started the bike riding, she was going pretty good! Her main problem is just that she looks down at her feet instead of watching where she’s going, lol. I think that if I don’t loose this excess weight this summer chasing after her, I never will! LMAO! Want to see some of the photos I took? I haven’t had the chance to scrap them yet, hopefully this coming week I’ll be able to.

Interested in knowing how the Scrap4Hire business is going? Well, I think I’m just about ready to jump in now! I’ve got a few kits that are S4H friendly, I have some templates done up for the recipe cards to make the designing process a bit easier for me. I have business cards printed (at home), a brochure designer (still need to figure out where I’m going to print those). I have my pricing figured out, the package options are set up, and I have a contract written up for my clients to sign. I just need to re-read the contract to make sure it still makes sense to me…. lol. Care to see my price list?

Package 2: Includes consultation, scrapbooking services, and recipes burned to a CD. Minimum of 20 recipes please.

$4.00/single card recipe

$5.00/2 card recipe

Add-on: 4×6 title page card &/or recipe category cards, half price – based on which package they are being added to.

This is a redone layout, the original was done a couple years ago. I think it’s the last one that I wanted to redo in my DD’s first year album. Now I had better get going on the printing! lol.

These are photos of my DD and hubby, the first time we took her skating this year! I finally got the photos scrapped!

This is another redone layout from my DD’s first year album, finally got it redone too. The original wasn’t that bad for this one, but I really wanted to play around with these new products from Flergs that I’d bought and I thought they would go perfectly with the ultrasound photos.

Well, that’s it for me! I had better go get dressed so we can go get our grocery shopping done. We like to do all our shopping and errands on Saturday that way Sundays can be lazy jammie days I’ll be trying out some new recipes in the next couple weeks so I’ll be letting you know how they turn out!
