It’s a new year and it’s time to make a few resolutions for 2008! I don’t always make resolutions but this year I really wanted to. Here are mine for this year:

~Get a layout published in a magazine.
*Get an article published in a magazine.
~Bring my blog’s daily reader numbers up to 200+.
*Be a guest writer on someone else’s scrapbook related blog.
~Try a new scrapbooking challenge every month.
*Backup photos, layouts and databases at least monthly.
~Cleanup/optimize email folders, ACDsee, Windows Live Writer, and EverNote monthly.
*Buy some 8×8 albums and print a handful of layouts every month.
~Clean some part of my house weekly, (bathroom, carpets, bed linens, dusting etc).
*Scrap a recipe card every week.
~Take the time to fit some kind of exercise into each day, be it cardio or weights, or even just some good stretching.

So what are your resolutions for this year? Do you have any tips to help me with mine?

I’m really happy with how my blog has grown since I started it last year, and it’s all thanks to you my readers! I have some questions for you to help me improve my blog even more, ready?

  • What other layout inspiration would you like to see me showcase here?
  • Would you like to see guest writers here? I’d only have a guest writer for 1 week per month, and they would be asked to continue some of the regular posts during their week as my guest.
  • With the large number of challenge blogs and scrapping communities closing, would you be interested in my adding challenges here? Would you need some kind of incentive to do a challenge?

I’m sorry to tell you I don’t have a new BRAG bag for you this month, as I’m not designing anymore and I’m trying to focus my time more on scrapping and on blogging. But if there are any designers reading my blog who are willing to give my readers a little sample or coupon I’d be thrilled! *wink* *wink* lol. A little info about my stats to help you decide if it’s worth tapping into my audience…

  • According to FeedBurner the average number of daily subscribers for December was 103 with an average reach of 70.
  • 4shared records show approx 40 downloads for each of my BRAG bags from October-December, these were hidden BRAG bag links only visible by my readers viewing my blog through an RSS feed reader or by subscribing to my blog’s feed via email.
  • I have approx 2 dozen people subscribed to receive email updates about my blog.

Well that’s all I have to say for today. Feel free to leave me a comment to let me know what you’d like to see me add to my blog, and if you’d like to contact me regarding advertising, to apply to be a guest blogger etc then feel free to use the Contact Me link at the top of my blog!

Thanks for being my very special and very appreciated readers! TTFN!

  3. Hey Monique Congratulations!
Sounds like you had a big 2007 too. Isn’t it great when you can review progress like that and use it to set new goals for the next year?
