Challenge 411 ~ We Digi Dare Yah!

Hello and welcome to another Challenge 411, where I get you the 411 on the challenges out there in our digi-community! This week?s challenge is a great one hosted on a blog It’s called We Digi Dare Yah and it’s one of my favs! Here are some questions I asked Kate (Hadfield!):

Q. Who is the host?

A.  There are actually 13 hosts or ?Darers? and we each take it in turns to set a challenge! The team consists of a mixture of scrappers and designers: Ashley Olson, Brittany Farrer, Dawn Stocstill, Emily Merritt, Janet Phillips, Jen Caputo, Karah Fredricks, Kate Hadfield, Lauren Reid, Lynnette Penacho, Shelly Greninger, Stacie Prinzo and Traci Reed.

Q. What is the challenge about, what are the challenge rules?

A. Each week we set a different challenge or ?dare?. Quite often the challenges involve scrapping a theme (such as a typical day in your life) or a design challenge (use a series of photos) along with a couple of other requirements such as using glitter on your layout for example. We each take it in turns to set the challenges so there?s a wide variety of themes.

The rules are very simple! We ask out contestants to complete a layout fulfilling the dare brief, upload it somewhere online and then leave us a comment on the blog before the deadline (midnight EST on the Thursday night following the dare).

Q. How often are the new challenges posted?

A. We post a new challenge every Friday.

Q. Why should I check out this challenge, any incentives?

A. We have two winners every week ? the main prizewinner (chosen by a random drawing) receives $40 worth of gift certificates from the sponsoring designers (we have four different designers sponsoring the challenges every month). We also have a smaller ?Weekly Pick? prize which be give to one layout that really catches our eye from the entries. This winner receives a GC to one of the Designer Darer?s stores.

Q. Is there an “I heart your challenge/site” blinkie available for fans?

A. Yes! There?s one in the sidebar of the blog for people to take and add to their signatures!
