Layout Recipe #23 ~ Louie and Mickey
This week’s layout was found while browsing the gallery at DigiShopTalk, it’s by CrayonQueen and is entitled Louie and Mickey. This layout is so dark and dreamy with the golden stars and moon all glittery and twinkling. I just love the simple and sweet feel of it. Please feel free to click on the image and leave this talented scrapper some praise!

What was your inspiration for the layout’s theme or design?
I wanted to capture my youngest son during this stage of his life. He is very attached to his Mickey doll, and I just wanted to preserve this stage of his life.

What special techniques/actions/effects did you use if any in creating the layout?
Now as to techniques used…..my friend Rebecca Gold was kind enough to edit the photograph in Adobe Lightroom for me. She adjusted the contrast and temperature of the photograph for me and I am very happy with the way the pic came out. I also adjusted Christina’s glitter splats to match the hue of Gina Marie’s ribbon. I use CS2 to scrap to I went to IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>VARIATIONS and then played with the image until I got the desired effect. I’m pretty sure that I hit “lighten” a coupla times and just left it at that.
