Layout Recipe #22 ~ How NOT to Make a Cake

This week’s layout was found while browsing the gallery at DigiShopTalk, it’s by pixiedust and is entitled How NOT to Make a Cake. I just love the large and beautiful photo and how it is showcased in this layout! The detailing is wonderful and I just love the colors and elements chosen. What was your inspiration for the layout’s theme or design?

My inspiration for the title was that my daughter had sniffed the dry ingredients and started crying.  She was so cute just dipping her nose in it, but then it took a turn for the worst!  LOL!

What special techniques/actions/effects did you use if any in creating the layout?

I also used drop shadows from Traci Murphy.  I also used the sepia tint in the special effects and then adjusted the opacity so that a little of the original picture’s color showed through the sepia.  (I use PSE5.)
