My Fall Y’all Blog Giveaway!
It’s here! The Fall bloggy giveaway hosted by Rocks in My Dryer blog author is finally here! If you would like to host your own giveaway on your blog this week click “here” for the rules to play. And click on the beautiful Bloggy Giveaway banner on the left to find many, many more giveaways being held throughout the bloggy world! But basically, you don’t have to have your own blog to enter the giveaway, for mine you can live anywhere in the world… I will ship it to you no matter where you are free of charge. Only one entry per person. Please fill in the email portion of the comment area so that I can contact you if you win, if I can’t get a hold of the winner, a new one will be chosen. I will draw one prize pack for every 50 people who enter, again though…. no duplicate entries, or you will be disqualified. The draw will close when I get up on Saturday morning, around 7am Mountain Time at which point I will use a Random Number Generator to choose the winner(s).
So what am I giving away? Well, since this blog is all about digital scrapbooking, and I’ve recently started doing some printed scrap projects I decided to give away some of the things I’ve made. Included will be:
8 printed homemade postcards by me
1 Post-it note book made by me (you choose the design from choices given)
1 surprise item, brand new not made by me… lol
So how cool is that? You want to see some pictures of what you will be getting if you win? Ok!
The prize pack will include these 5 postcards plus 3 more, not printed out yet so I will add another photo when I get them printed hopefully today.
This is choice number one in the Post-it notebooks, the top flap is secured with a little bit of magnetic strip. The back is plain, just has the pink background all over.
This is choice number two in the Post-it notebooks, also secured with a little bit of magnetic strip. There will be 2 more to choose from however, they are not printed yet so as soon as they are printed I will post their photos too. The back is plain, just has the red background all over.
So what do you think? Want a chance at winning this prize pack? Then leave me a comment, be sure to fill in the email portion so I can notify you if you are the winner… and that’s all! Of course, I would love for you to bookmark my blog for when you have more time to peruse it. It’s filled with Challenge 411s, where I get you the 411 on digital scrapbooking challenges in our community… Layout Recipes where I showcase layouts by others and include info on where you can find the “ingredients” used and the artist shares with me their inspiration in creating that layout… I also like to scrap actual recipes and try to share a new one every Thursday! And if you love digital scrapbooking freebies you will want to subscribe to my blog if an RSS feed reader, that’s the only way you’ll see the link to download my monthly BRAG Bag (Blog Reader Appreciation Gift Bag)!
Good luck to everyone and I hope I see you back here again soon!
Edited to add:
The last 3 postcards that are also being included in the prize pack!
Notebook choice number three!
Notebook choice number 4, front and back… a more grungy look, not my usual style but I thought I’d do something different to try and have something for everyone’s taste.
So what are you waiting for? Do you like postcards? How about Postcard Greetings and Post-it Notebooks? Then leave a comment!
Challenge 411 ~ Artfully Yours Challenge
Hello and welcome to another Challenge 411, where I get you the 411 on the challenges out there in our digi-community! This week’s challenge is one I found at Gotta Pixel, and they have a ton of other challenges there! This one’s called Artfully Yours. Here are some questions I asked one of the challenge’s hosts, Christina:
Q. Who is the host?
A. I’m the host, Christina Wall. I am a store designer and member of the design team for www.GottaPixel.net.
Q. What is the challenge about, what are the challenge rules?
A. Artfully Yours is a fairly new challenge at www.GottaPixel.com that gives us a chance to look at the art work of the “masters” and draw inspiration from them. Through time, artists have drawn inspiration from the world around them. Scrapbook artists are no different. We find inspiration from the world around us, and sometimes, we look to other great artists for inspiration.
Q. Where can we find more info about joining in on the fun?
A. You can join in the Artfully Yours challenge at any time, just by going to http://www.gottapixel.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=180, checking out the inspiration art and creating your own work of art!
Q. How often are the new challenges posted?
A. Each month on the 12th there is a new challenge posted using a different piece of art as inspiration.
Q. Why should I check out this challenge, any incentives?
A. Each month, usually on the 12th, I hold a crop to kick off the challenge. Anyone who attends will get an element or paper that coordinates with the chosen artwork. We also discuss ways to be inspired by the artwork.
Q. Is there an “I heart your challenge/site” blinkie available for fans?
Q. Any other info you would like scrappers to know about your challenge?
A. I hope to see lots of people take part in the challenges at www.GottaPixel.com. It?s a great place, and I hope that you will come check us out!
Well, scrappers that’s the 411 on this week’s challenge! I hope you like the originality of this challenge as much as I do. And I hope you check out my blog again next week when I let you in on yet another great scrapping challenge!
Don’t forget that you can subscribe to my blog’s feed on any blog reader, & as an added bonus there is a monthly freebie (click on banner at bottom of posts) only seen in a blog reader! And if you’d like to suggest a challenge for me to showcase in my weekly Challenge 411 post, just fill out a contact form on the Contact Me page! You can suggest a challenge that you host or someone else’s (I always get permission from the challenge’s host before posting). Thanks!
My scrapping last week…
Well, this time I really didn’t get much done. I scrapped 2 layouts, very different from my usual style as they were both for Scrapbook Graphic’s Quickshop 101 challenges. But I’ve been working on getting some printed out scrap projects done too. I printed out some postcard designs for the bloggy giveaway that starts this week, due to the fact that Monday already has a scheduled post I will be announcing my official giveaway on Tuesday. I’ve also been working on some Post-it notebooks, I think they turned out great, what do you think? I’ve posted previews of them at the end along with credit info. Next I would like to work on some bookmarks and maybe a couple more postcard designs to include in the giveaway if I can find the time. So enough babbling… here are my scraps from last week:
Also used in creating this layout are fairies by Amy Brown the artist, &
woman’s stock photo at stock.xchng taken by Georgios Wollbrecht. Snowflakes are PSP brushes I have, not sure who from. Layout was also created for Nancy Comelab’s challenge last week.
Also used in creating this little gem is a template from Designs by Amy and Theresa… mine are printed on photo paper and glued onto cardstock as photo paper was too flimsy and I used a couple pieces of magnetic strip for the closure though I may try Velcro sometime.
