Challenge 411 ~ We Can Build It

Hello and welcome to another Challenge 411, where I get you the 411 on the challenges out there in our digi-community! This week’s challenge is one I recently came across at Scrapbook Graphics, called We Can Build It challenge! Here are some questions I asked one of the challenge’s hosts:

Q. Who is the host?

A. Becky Troxel (aka webchyck) and Tammy McQuaid (aka tmcquaid).  We are both members of Scrapbookgraphics’ Studio Crew.

Q. What is the challenge about, what are the challenge rules?

A. Our challenge is so fun!  It’s called We Can Build It, and it developed from a challenge we used to have on the Studio Matters blog called Can We Build It?  For that challenge we simply provided a list of requirements for a scrapbook page and challenged our participants to join in by creating a layout with those things as a minimum.  For the forum challenge we decided we wanted to make it more interactive, get our community members involved.  So, each time we post a new challenge we ask the the participants to suggest ideas for the next challenge. These suggestions could be for a theme, for the number of photos, for elements to use, for a special technique..whatever!  People just throw ideas out there and every other week Tammy or I pick a few to use for the newest challenge.  The only rules are to use the supply list as a minimum and post your layout in the We Can Build It Gallery: http://www.scrapbookgraphics.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=3138.  We love it when the layouts are linked in the challenge thread, too.

Q. Where can we find more info about joining in on the fun?

A. The We Can Build It forum at Scrapbookgraphics is located here: http://www.scrapbookgraphics.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=56 and the most recent challenge will always be ”stickied” at the top. 

Q. How often are the new challenges posted?

A. This is an every other week challenge posted on Thursdays.  You can see our schedule on the calendar at Scrapbookgraphics: http://www.scrapbookgraphics.com/forum/calendar.php

Q. Why should I check out this challenge, any incentives?

A. We do not currently have any posting bonuses for this challenge, but I think the real incentive would be for those times when your mojo might be waning and you need something to kick-start the creative process!  Having some ”rules” to get you going can prime the pump and get those creative juices flowing! 

Q. Is there an ?I heart your challenge/site? blinkie available for fans?

A. Tammy and I haven’t developed a blinkie for this particular challenge, but fans can sport the Studio Groupie unblinking blinkie:
