Layout Recipe #7 ~ Time Flies

This week?s layout is one that has been in my gallery favs since she posted it at DST?s gallery, this scrapper?s username is Dagmar and her layout is entitled Time Flies. This layout caught my attention with it?s simplicity, beautiful colors, black background and beautiful photo? it?s a gorgeous layout!

What was your inspiration for the layout?s theme or design?

My daughter is starting First Grade this Summer and I wanted to document my thoughts about how much she has changed lately. She’s definitely not a baby anymore. (Even though I love to think of her as that) The design is actually based on a Template by Pattie Knox at Designer Digitals. (It’s a Freebie – found here) I rotated and modified it – which shows that using a Template doesn’t mean that you have to stick with it. Since I loved the color combination of the Template, I chose paper with the same colors. Lynn Grieveson designed these beautiful little birdies I just had to use on a layout. The picture of my daughter seemed to be the perfect choice -doesn’t she look like she’s looking at the bird?
