A few of my favorite things… Flowers!
I LOVE flowers! That type of element is probably what I collect the most and use the most in my layouts! I’m happy with just one or two sets of this or that, but when it comes to flowers… the more the merrier! This post has been inspired by a thread at DST called “Fab Flower Finds…Post Here… “, I decided that I have soooo many flower loves that I should just blog about… and here I am! SO the following are some of my fav flower elements that I have starting with ones from my CTs, then I will also list some of the ones that are on my wish list. Feel free to blog about your fav scrapping items, I love a good enabling blog post! So here I go, all previews are clickable!
Next are all the other flower sets I have in my collection!

Yes, I even have a template set that I feel fits this category!
Ok, so those are all the flower sets in my collection… there are so many that I haven’t even used them all yet, I just keep collecting, lol. Now, there are also some kits out there with some amazing flowers that I’ve used with or without the rest of the kit in some of my layouts, so I think it’s only fair to showcase some of them too. So here are some kits that have amazing flowers that make the kit worth buying even if it’s just for the flowers! (Although the kits are amazing too…lol)
And last but not least, all the flowers packs and kits with awesome flowers that I just WISH I owned!
Well ladies, that’s all for this post! I hope you like flowers as much as I do, otherwise this post would have been a bit boring to you…lol. But as you can see, I love flowers… and if you love them as much as I do, I hope this post has shown you some new ones to add to your collection! Feel free to leave me a link to your blog in the comments if you blog about some of your favorite things! I always love reading about what makes others excited to scrap too.

Layout Recipe #2
This week’s layout is one that has been in my gallery favs since she posted it at DST’s gallery, this scrapper’s username is iscraptoo but her real name is Kristy, and her layout is entitled Huntington Beach. This layout caught my attention with the beautiful colors, torn edges and gorgeous photos!
Ingredients List:
Beachy Kit by Gina Miller at Ginamillerdesigns.com
Curl Paper template -Peeled and Revealed by Marcie Reckinger and Traci Murphy at Funkyplaygrounddesigns
Round stitching by Traci Murphy at Funkyplaygrounddesigns
Ribbon tie by Natalie Braxton at The-Lilypad
Hand Stamped Alpha by Michelle Coleman at Littledreamerdesigns (this is a freebie, you must be registered to the site to download!)
Text on a Path template by Jen Caputo at Scrapbookgraphics
Fonts used: 2peasArizona, Century Gothic & 2Peas Billboard
Inspiration for the theme/design:
Kristy:I actually had the pictures for awhile but could never really find a kit that I liked. The moment I seen Gina’s kit I knew that was the kit I wanted to use for those pictures. It kinda just flowed from there. I also like to visit Gina’s gallery at DST. I really like her style on her layouts, so whenever I’m having scrappers block I go check out her layouts and it gets me pumped to scrap some more.
Special techniques/actions/effects:
Kristy:I used the Pealed and Revealed templates available at Funkyplaygrounddesigns. You can use any paper you want to create the curled paper effect. Super easy! I also used the Text on Path for the circled text by Jen Caputo, another super easy effect to use. Another must have, is drop shadows by Traci Murphy, she is the Queen of drop shadows, and her actions make all your elements look so realistic. On the photo I used the Color Wash action by Photoblast available at ezactions or digiscrapshak. I use his actions on almost all of my photos. Wasn’t that great?! I just loved reading about the inspiration for the layout, and the techniques she used! Definitely adding those shadows and actions to my Kaboodle! Thank you for checking out my blog today, I hope this layout has inspired you to mix and match some great products! Please click on the layout above and leave this great scrapper some love!
